About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Mathwares B.V., registered in Utrecht, the Netherlands (KvK: TBD), operator of the Tanin iOS app and the gettanin.app website. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms.

The service

Tanin is a meal planner. You add the meals you eat, set your macro targets, and the app generates a weekly plan and grocery list. The service is provided "as is." It is not medical advice, not a diagnostic tool, and not a substitute for guidance from a registered dietitian or doctor.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe. One account per person. You must be at least 16 years old to use Tanin. The data you put in (meals, profile, targets) is yours — we hold it on your behalf and you can export or delete it at any time.

Acceptable use

Don't use Tanin to harm yourself or anyone else, to break any law, or to interfere with the service for other people. Don't scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the service. Don't share your account.

Subscriptions and trials

Free tier is free for as long as we offer it. Essential (€5/month) and Pro (€10/month) start with a 7-day free trial. Cancellation is one tap in the App Store and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We don't pro-rate partial months. All prices include VAT where applicable.

Apple processes all subscription payments under their standard terms. Refund requests for App Store purchases go through Apple, not us — we don't see your card details and can't issue refunds directly. If Apple declines a refund you believe you're entitled to, email us and we'll try to help.

EU right of withdrawal

EU consumers normally have 14 days to withdraw from a digital purchase. When you start a subscription, you're asked to expressly consent to immediate access to the full service — which waives the 14-day right (per Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive). If you didn't give that consent, your 14-day right stands. The free trial is the recommended way to evaluate the service before paying.

Intellectual property

The Tanin name, logo, app code, planning engine, website, and design are owned by Mathwares B.V. Your content (meal names, ingredient lists, plans) is yours — by using the service, you grant us the limited licence we need to store, display, and process it on your behalf.

Limits of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mathwares B.V. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid us for the service in that period. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else the law says we can't exclude.

Suspension and termination

You can close your account in the app at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms — we'll email you the reason and give you a chance to fix it where possible. On termination, your data is deleted within 30 days (see the Privacy Policy for the deletion grace window).

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Utrecht, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring claims locally.
